KwaGiba

The school was established in 1984 and started admitting in 1985, with one class of both boys and girls. The only two employees, a principal and an educator, were paid by the parents. The school came into being through the effort of a retired principal, Mrs Khumalo and the late Induna of the area, Mr Vuyani Ngobese. The community of the area contributed a lot to build more classrooms as the demand from the students arise.

The school is located in the Mnqobokazi reserve, next to the road to Sodwana/Kosi bay, in the middle between the towns Hluhluwe and Mbazwana, which are to be found 45 km on each direction. The area has no job opportunities except for the few professionals; teachers and nurses. People sustain their lives on subsistence farming and selling arts and crafts.
